Job summary

EDCare in Denver, Colorado seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The role provides hands-on patient care under an RN, with vital signs, weight checks, and daily activity documentation in a collaborative, recovery-focused setting.

You will work alongside nurses, therapists, dietitians, and milieu staff, promoting safety, dignity and continuity of care while building specialized experience in eating disorder treatment within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) certification in the state of Colorado within 60 days of hire required.
• Obtain CPR Certification within 90 days of hire required.
• Experience treating patients with eating disorders preferred.
• Experience in a mental or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with daily nursing operations, including preparing patients for medical assessments and obtaining/recording vital signs and weights.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and communicate concerns to the RN.
• Support patient monitoring and delegated care activities, including patient flow and appointments.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as permitted by regulations and policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of delegated patient care activities in the EMR.
• Assist with patient observation and supervision, including bathroom monitoring per protocol.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and safety.
• Maintain nursing areas, equipment, and supplies; ensure inventory availability.
• Participate in infection prevention and control practices and adhere to policies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated patient care.
