Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care to residents in Roanoke, Virginia. You will assist with activities of daily living, encourage participation in community activities, and help create meaningful daily experiences for residents.

The role requires a current CNA license, ability to communicate well, and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

  • Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
  • Willing to become CPR/First Aid certified within 60 days of hire.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Encourage residents to participate in community activities.
  • Conduct activities to give residents meaningful experiences.
  • Report incidents and document care concerns to RN/LPN or supervisor.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers with proper body mechanics.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
