Good Samaritan Hospice is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our Inpatient Unit on the day shift (3x12s, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) in Roanoke, VA. The role emphasizes comfort, dignity, and emotional support for patients and families with EMR documentation and team collaboration.

You will provide personal care, follow individualized plans under the RN, and contribute to a mission-driven team recognized for meaningful end-of-life care. Competitive benefits and starting salary of $19/hour are offered.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide program with an active Virginia CNA license.
• Minimum of one year CNA experience preferred (hospice, home health, or long-term care experience is a plus).
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort with EMR and technology.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance.
• A heart for mission-driven, relational work with patients and families.

• Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and assistance with activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the RN and care team
• Follow each patient's individualized plan of care under the direction of the RN
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
• Accurately document care provided in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
• Transport or deliver equipment and supplies as needed

Schedule & Compensation:

Schedule: Full-time Day Shift, 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
