Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant program.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must read/write/speak English to ensure patient safety.
• Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
• Must attend at least 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL) and transfers.
• Record vital signs and weights per policy.
• Assist with ambulation, bed positioning, and patient transport.
• Support care plans and notify nurse of changes in condition.
• Maintain safety, privacy, and dignity of patients and families.
• Assist with feeding and patient hydration as directed.
