Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role involves assisting with mobility, personal care, hydration, and documenting vital signs in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include reporting to the charge nurse, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring confidentiality of protected health information, with a sign-on bonus offered for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty and documents information accurately.
• Assists with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assists residents in ambulation with or without self-help devices as instructed.
• Accurately measures and records temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures (TPRs and B/P) as instructed.
• Ensures that residents’ personal care needs are met in accordance with residents’ wishes.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident units and related areas; handles bedpans, urinals, and commodes.
• Advises charge nurse of resident condition beginning and end of shift.
• Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Account for personal care (i.e. Grooming, bathing, catheter care, and dressing), and observation of residents within patient care guidelines. Identify and report any condition requiring management attention.
• Provides hydration to all residents according to center policy.
• Ensures all protected health information is kept confidential.
• Reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property.
• Provides range of motion exercise.
• Assures that residents are positioned appropriately for meals.
• Serves food trays and assists with feeding as indicated.
• Delivers and documents all a.m., p.m., and bedtime snacks and supplements.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as required by policy or nurse supervisor.
• Physical Demands – Office: Regularly required to talk or hear; use hands; stand, walk, sit; lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and 51-100 pounds with assistance.
• Work Environment – Office: Professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, or noise.

Principal Responsibilities

• Advises charge nurse of resident(s) condition beginning and end of shift
• Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures
• Account for personal care (i.e. Grooming, bathing, catheter care, and dressing), and observation of residents within patient care guidelines. Identify and report any condition requiring management attention

Work Environment – Office

This job operates in a professional office environmentwith minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, ornoise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
