Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) in your area. We invite you to join our team of healthcare heroes and provide compassionate in-home care.

Essential duties include following care plans, assisting with personal care, transportation, medication support, and reporting changes in client conditions. We value reliability and strong communication to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment physical/PDD prior to patient contact.
• Criminal background check required.
• Reliable transportation; if driving, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature with ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits, grocery store, and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be flexible to meet department needs.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
