Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under supervision within a skilled nursing facility in Salina, Kansas. Responsibilities include assisting with therapy preparations, hygiene, and daily activities, while following infection control practices.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA certification, demonstrates English proficiency, and shows patience and compassion towards residents.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., including transporting residents to/from such activities.
• Answer residents’ call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs, on the job training programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene.
• Bathe residents as assigned and support self-care activities.
• Follow infection control procedures per facility policy when isolation is necessary.
• Chart required information every shift pertaining to the CNA role.
• Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
