Job summary

Genesis in Carlisle, PA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver compassionate patient care under a licensed nurse supervision. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, help with transfers, and ensure safety and comfort across all shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, maintaining clean environments, documenting intake and output, and collaborating with the care team to follow care plans and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a state-approved CNA with current certification.
• High school education preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English for patient safety.
• TB test verification required by state law.
• Basic computer knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care focused on safety and comfort.
• Assists ADLs and records vitals and weights per policy.
• Transfers and ambulation support; positions patients correctly.
• Cares for personal belongings and helps with treatments as directed.
• Prepares beds, transports patients to appointments and rehab.
• Notifies nurse of changes in condition and follows care plans.
• Records intake/output and adheres to precautions and PHI privacy.
• Participates in orientation of new CNAs and quality efforts.
