A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care and support in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will maintain a homelike environment and support residents in achieving their highest level of functioning. Candidates must have nurse aide training, preferred experience in geriatric nursing, and excellent interpersonal skills. Qualifications

• Successful completion of nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State of Minnesota within 4 months of the hire date.
• Met regulatory requirements for certified nursing assistant in the State of MN.
• Two or more years of experience as a certified nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility (preferred).
• Training and experience in geriatric nursing (preferred).
• Active on the MN State Nurse Aide registry.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and commitment to providing person-centered care.
• Good infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 'home' in the physical environment, fostering a sense of welcoming.
• Promote compassionate services among the team and evaluate residents' needs.
• Participate in establishing and implementing the residents’ plan of care.
• Maintain a safe and functional environment by assessing potential hazards.
• Apply dementia-sensitivity practices and promote well-being for persons with dementia.
