Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a capable Certified Nurse Assistant to provide personal care and maintain patient comfort on an acute care unit. You will work under nursing supervision and may perform sitter duties.

The role includes 24 hours per week with 8-hour shifts and rotating weekends and holidays. Required are HS diploma or equivalent, current MA CNA license or EMT, or nursing program enrollment with clinical hours; BLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6 months.
• Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation required.
• Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with working in a busy, acute care unit.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire.
• 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to maintain physical comfort.
• Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff.
• Perform Sitter duties as assigned.
• Staff may be floated to other areas as needed.
