Job summary

Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce seeks a compassionate caregiver to assist clients with personal care tasks per the Plan of Care. Duties include bathing, grooming, mobility support, meal prep and medication reminders where allowed.

Responsibilities also cover light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, transportation to appointments, and reporting changes to supervisors. Requires reading/writing, reliable transportation, CNA or 6 months caregiving experience, and ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow specific directions related to personal care tasks and light housekeeping duties.
• Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care per Plan of Care, including bathing, grooming and mobility.
• Meal preparation and feeding for the client.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning in client-used areas.
• Transport client to medical appointments; anticipate travel up to long distances when needed.
• Report abnormal conditions to supervisor and document time worked daily.
