Job summary

Island Nursing Rehab Center in New York, NY is seeking full-time and part-time CNAs to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care for our geriatrics population. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, mobility, and comfort, ensuring dignity and safety.

Responsibilities include aiding with personal care, responding to call lights, helping with meals, maintaining clean resident areas, and observing changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Current certification in New York State Nurse Aide Registry.
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the Registry against them.
• One year long-term care experience and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care services and Activities of Daily Living for residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintains non-patient areas in a neat condition and assists with admission and discharge procedures.
• Answers residents' call lights and performs errand services for nursing unit as needed.
• Observes and reports information related to changes in patient's condition or responses to care.
