Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- Newport Medical Center in Newport, TN seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The CNA provides direct patient care under licensed staff, assisting with hygiene, daily living activities and basic nursing tasks to support safety and comfort.

You will observe and report patient conditions, document care, help with meals, and support infection control, fall prevention and teamwork with the clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic nursing care techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene tasks and activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care such as changing linens and mobility support.

• Support patient nutrition by assisting with meals.
• Maintain safety and infection control protocols.
• Assist with basic treatments as directed.
• Communicate with patients, families, and teams.
• Participate in ongoing CNA training and stay updated.
