Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide patient care across assigned units, following care plans and safety standards. You will respond to call lights promptly and document care performed, while maintaining a clean environment and restocking supplies as needed.

The role supports unit operations by floating to different areas under supervision, contributing to performance improvement initiatives, and assisting in the onboarding of new colleagues with the educator team.

Qualifications

• Completion of CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by scope and policies.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
• Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator.
