Job summary

Qualifications

• CNAs must read and write well enough to follow written directions and chart.
• Verbal communication is important to interact with residents, co-workers and visitors clearly.
• Nursing Aides must have passed the temporary nursing assistant course and participate in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered personal care including bathroom assistance, washing, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and social support
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
• Deliver a positive dining experience and assist residents with meals, snacks and supplements
• Document resident care and behaviors
• Hand and dispose of linens, soiled clothing or supplies properly
