Job summary

Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens is seeking a CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant to join our faith-based, nonprofit skilled geriatric care team. The role includes assisting residents with ADLs, responding to call lights, aiding with feeding, and collaborating with nurses and fellow CNAs.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, full-time day shifts or part-time day/evening shifts, and every-other-weekend requirements. A CNA certification and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification is required and valid.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care preferred.
• Point-Click-Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises.
• Assist with transport to wheelchair and activity areas.
• Monitor and record temperature, food and fluid intake and output.
• Meet the communication needs of resident and family.
• Communicate changes in residents’ clinical condition.

AFaith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are seeking to fill the position ofCNA – Certified Nursing Assistant.

• $22.68 to $25.87 per hour based on experience.
• Every Other Weekend required.
• Full-Time Day shift.
• Part-Time Day and Evening shifts.
• SNF and LTC experience preferred.

The CNA will assist residents with activities for daily living (ADL), answer call lights, assist with feeding, collaborate with Nurse and other Certified Nursing Assistants and document all care provided.
