Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a residential neuro rehabilitation role. This unique setting emphasizes independence in a home-like environment, not a hospital.

We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time weekend CNA/DSP positions and a $1,000 sign-on for all other full-time CNA/DSP roles, plus company-paid DSP and CRMA certifications to advance your career.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Certification, if required by state licensure as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide.
• Will be required to obtain DSP Certificate within 6 months of employment (company paid).
• Will be required to obtain CRMA which company will provide training.
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform mobility tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated compassion and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and ambulation.
• Monitor residents' health and report changes to clinical staff.
• Assist with medication observation and monitoring per care plans.
• Support residents in developing daily living skills and independence.
• Encourage independence with appropriate supervision.
• Foster positive relationships among residents and housemates.
• Ensure safety and well-being of residents at all times.
• Assist with recreational, social, and community activities.
• Accompany residents to appointments and community outings.
• Document care provided and resident progress accurately.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily care + life skills development
• Support cooking, light housekeeping, and transportation
• Participate in community-based activities
• Administer medications (with certification)

• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification within 6 months
• CRMA certification (if not already CNA-M)

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' physical condition and report changes in health status to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Assist with medication observation and medical monitoring as directed by care plans and organizational policies.
• Support residents in developing and maintaining daily living skills and self-help activities.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate supervision and assistance.
• Foster positive relationships and healthy interactions among residents and their housemates.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times and maintain a safe living environment.
• Assist residents with recreational, social, and community-based activities.
• Accompany residents to scheduled appointments, community outings, and other approved activities.
• Document care provided, resident progress, and significant observations accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Follow individualized care plans and support strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, training programs, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and program operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirements is 18 year
• Valid driver's license, with satisfactory driving record, as defined by agency policy
• Certification, if required by state licensure as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide in the state in which the aide is to provide care
• Will be required to obtain DSP Certificate within 6 months of employment (company paid)
• Will be requited to obtain CRMA which company will provide training
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide
• Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting and may be expected to lift up 75 lbs.; must be able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time and bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to person-centered care.

PREFFERED

• Experience working with individuals recovering from neurologial injuries, brain injuries, behavioral health condiditions, or other complex rehabilitation needs
• Experience in residential care, long-term care, rehabilitation, or community-based support settings
