Job summary

comForCare is seeking a Compassionate CNA to join our assistive care team. You will follow a nurse's plan to provide personal care, homemaker tasks, and companionship to adults at home, promoting safety and independence.

Requirements include one year of experience, CNA certification, and a genuine passion for caregiving. You will travel to clients' homes, delivering compassionate, reliable care with empathy and respect.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant with CNA certification and active status.
  • At least one year of work experience in home care or related field.
  • Empathy, patience, kindness and respect for clients.
  • Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, household support and companion care per nurse's plan.

  • Prepare meals, light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
  • Monitor vital signs and remind about medications as directed.
  • Ensure safety and dignity of clients at all times.

What you'll do:

Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you'll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. As a comForCare CNA, you'll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:

  • Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
  • Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Range of motion/exercises
  • Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
  • Medication reminders
  • Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
What makes you a great candidate:
  • Have at least one year of work experience.
  • Have successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and be certified to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
