Northwest Specialty Hospital in Nevada is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support adult behavioral health services in a new Reno facility. The role emphasizes safe, patient-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to service excellence standards.

You will participate in bedside reporting, receive task delegation from the Supervising RN, and address diverse psychosocial and family needs as part of the care plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CNA program.
• Current Nevada CNA license.
• Current BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Completes bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.

Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services.

The adult behavioral health services offered is an expansion to our current 50 and older program at NNMC. The new program will offer behavioral health services to all adults 18 years and older. The department is managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This CNA opportunity is part time, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic CNA to provide safe, competent nursing assistant care of our patients.You will also provide professional support to healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensures patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
