Qualifications

• State certification as a nursing assistant must be current.
• Familiarity with CNA duties and responsibilities.
• Excellent observation skills and situational awareness.
• Strong verbal and written communication; patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner that ensures safety and comfort.
• Promote and support residents' independence as much as possible.
• Notify supervising charge nurse of resident status at shift start and end.
• Contribute knowledge of resident conditions to care plans.
• Assist in implementing care plans per policy and procedures.
• Observe and report residents' conditions and document findings.
• Comply with safe lifting/transfer procedures.
• Perform moderate to heavy lifting when required.
• Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Assist with incidental housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
