Job summary

Mountain City Rehab Center in Frostburg, MD is seeking a CNA-1 to provide daily resident care alongside our nursing team. You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily activities while documenting changes and supporting a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes in health status.
• Report changes promptly to nursing staff.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living area.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized care.
• Ensure residents' families are handled with professionalism.
• Keep residents' rooms tidy and answer call lights promptly.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities as needed.
• Uphold the facility's care philosophy and goals.

About the Role:

As a CNA-1, you’ll be on the front lines of quality elder care. You’ll work closely with our nursing staff to provide daily support and assistance to residents—helping with everything from personal hygiene and mobility to emotional support and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding)
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other health indicators
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires.
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy.
• Answer call lights promptly.

Qualifications:

• CNA-1 in Maryland
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred
• A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
