Paylocity is seeking qualified Nursing Assistants for our Redmond Detox program in Oregon. DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE!

Primary duties include working with clients and staff to provide detoxification services and advocate for excellent patient care within BestCare Treatment Services Detox facility. Requires Oregon CNA, OSBN-approved 80-hour medication aide training within 6–12 months, First Aid & CPR, and sobriety for the past two years.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Oregon CNA certification.
• Willing to complete an OSBN-approved 80-hour medication aide training within 6–12 months.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Maintain continuous sobriety for the past two years at time of hire.
• Demonstrated competence in treatment of addiction and withdrawal management.
• Strong motivational counseling skills.
• Experience taking and recording vital signs.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Get along well with coworkers and network with resources to provide excellent service.
• Proven excellent customer service for clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with staff as a treatment team member.
• Maintain high visibility and cleanliness of the detox area.
• Take and record vital signs at designated intervals.
• Notify Nurse and perform CIWA scoring as needed.
• Provide medications under supervision once Med Aide cert is obtained.
• Document PRN medications as delegated by nursing staff.
• Complete intakes per detox guidelines.
• Deliver motivational counseling and case management with the team.
• Intervene promptly to address inappropriate or disrespectful behavior.
• Maintain EMR documentation and client files.

Primary duties include working with clients and staff at our Redmond Detox program to provide detoxification assistance and services. Advocates for excellent patient care within BestCare Treatment Services Detox facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must possess a current Oregon Nursing Assistant certification; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
2. Be willing to complete an 80-hour, OSBN-approved medication aide training program to obtain a Medication Aid Certification within 6 -12 months of hire.
3. Current First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
4. For individuals recovering from the disease of alcoholism and/or from other drug addiction, have maintained continuous sobriety for the immediate past two years at the time of hire
5. Possesses the training, knowledge, and/or experience demonstrating competence in the treatment of the disease addiction, including the management of withdrawal and client evaluation
6. Skilled at motivational counseling techniques
7. Experience taking and recording vital signs
8. The ability to work independently and the skills to be a successful team player
9. Must get along well with coworkers
10. Possesses the ability to network with all resources in order to provide the best customer service possible
11. Proven excellent customer service skills with clients and/or family members seeking help from BCTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Works closely with other staff as a member of a treatment team.
2. Maintains high visibility at all times.
3. Responsible for all aspects of the detox service area, including noise level, traffic level, cleanliness and neatness of sleeping areas, common areas and office, safety and other conditions that support client care.
4. Take and record vital signs of clients at the appropriate designated intervals.
5. Notify Nurse if clients Monitors detoxification symptoms worsen. and performs CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) scoring.
6. Needs Med Aid cert - Provides and documents medications under the direction of the Medical Director and Nurse I/II.
7. Once Medication Aid certification is obtained, provide and document PRN medications as delegated by floor Nurse I/II or under the direction of the Licensed Medical Provider.
8. Completes intakes per detoxification program guidelines.
9. Provides motivational counseling and case management services, working collaboratively with treatment team members and other agencies, and documents services in the client’s file.
10. Makes timely client interventions when necessary including: arguments, relations, inappropriate or immature behavior, and any insensitive or disrespectful behavior.
11. Works with treatment team to maintain a healthy treatment milieu.
12. Maintains documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system and client files.
13. Answers phones and responsible for complete, accurate filing.
14. Other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or Director.
