Job summary

Tennessee Quality Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to join our caregiving team in Tennessee. You will provide hands-on personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.

In this role you’ll work under supervision of registered nurses and case managers, taking vital signs, assisting with medications as directed, and reporting changes in patient condition. Reliable transportation and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR certification current.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care including baths, oral hygiene, grooming, and maintaining a clean, orderly living area.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as ordered.
• Perform simple procedures as an extension of nursing services.
• Assist patients in self-administration of medication as directed.
• Report patient condition and significant changes to the supervising nurse or case manager.

What You'll Do:

• Providing hands-on personal care including Baths, Oral hygiene, Shampoos, changing bed linen, assisting with dressing and undressing, skin care and prevention of skin breakdown, toileting assistance, keeping living area clean and orderly as needed, and other duties within their scope of practice assigned by supervising clinician.
• Taking and recording oral, temporal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
• Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Assisting patients in the self-administration of medication.
• Reporting on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse or case manager.

Qualifications:

• Certified by the state as a nurse aid.
• Meets the training requirements and successfully completes them.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification, or another certification process as deemed appropriate by agency, state, and federal regulations
• Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
