Job summary

Upstate Services Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to cover all shifts and provide compassionate care to residents in a on-site setting. You will support daily activities, monitor health indicators, and collaborate with a care team to ensure safety and comfort.

The role requires CNA certification, strong patient communication, and the ability to work weekends and alternating holidays. Great team environment with opportunities for growth and appreciation.

Qualifications

• Certified as a nursing assistant and in good standing with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Able to work every other weekend and alternating holidays.
• Strong, calm, respectful, and patient interaction with residents.

Responsibilities

• Providing great patient care and attention to individual needs.
• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
• Providing physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene tasks.
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Reviewing dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure appropriate meals.
• Gathering information from physicians and nurses about conditions and plans.
• Measuring and recording intake/output and reporting changes.
• Recording vital signs and notifying staff as needed.
• Examining patients for issues requiring medical care.

Job description

Certified Nursing Assistant: ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE!!!

Job duties:

• Providing great patient care.

• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.

• Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.

• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.

• Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.

• Obtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.

• Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.

• Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.

• Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.

Minimum qualifications:

• Certified as a nursing assistant and in good standing with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
• Available to work every other weekend and alternating holidays
• Strong skills in effectively caring for residents in a calm, respectful, and patient manner
