Nurse Next Door is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our in-home care team in Idaho. The CNA will perform personal care per a licensed care plan, observe clients, and report changes to the supervising nurse or Care Designer.
Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, grooming, peri-care, basic mobility, vital signs, and light housekeeping. Qualified candidates hold an Idaho CNA license, HS diploma or GED, CPR, and are registered on the Idaho Health Care Aide Registry.
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is a member of the Nurse Next Door team and works under the supervision of the Care Designer or a nurse and performs personal care services contained in a care plan written by a licensed health professional, employed or contracted by the agency. The CNA is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed and will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.
The Certified Nursing Assistant will not function in any manner, viewed as the practice of nursing according to the State’s Nurse Practice Act. Specifically, the Certified Nursing Assistant will not administer medications, obtain physician’s orders or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a licensed nurse.
Working Conditions: In home care; Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Must be able to lift to 35 pounds.
Physical Requirements: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond in an emergency. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues. May include gloves, mask, eye protection, and disposable outer covering.
