Job summary

Wingate Living is seeking a Part-Time/Per Diem CNA or Home Health Aide to provide personal care and support to residents according to care plans. You will assist with hygiene, dressing, meals, and daily activities, ensuring safety and dignity at all times.

Responsibilities include shift handoffs, accurate documentation, and engaging residents in activities. Prior elder-care experience is preferred, with benefits including health coverage and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA or Home Health Aide certification in state of work.
• One year of elder-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review logbook and assignment sheets at the start of each shift.
• Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, and daily living activities.
• Proactively address safety concerns in apartments and common areas.
• Transport residents to activities and meals; assist with mealtimes.
• Provide one-on-one engagement and support for residents as needed.
• Document care provided accurately and report to the next shift.

Job Purpose

Provides personal care to residents according to written service plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review the logbook and assignment sheets for updates at the start of each shift.
• Assure that resident s are neat, clean, and properly clothed. Assist with bathroom and hygiene needs.
• Tidy apartment proactively assesses potential safety concerns.
• Proactively assess potential safety concerns in common areas of the building and report to appropriate parties when needed.
• Transports residents to and from activities and dining.
• Provides SAMM assistance within the allotted time frame (if applicable)
• Accurate documents are provided, including SAMM timely (if applicable)
• Give a verbal report of shift change to the following shift.
• Mealtime duties include making morning coffee and serving breakfast as residents are ready. Serve lunch and dinner. Assist with setting tables. Encourage residents to take part in mealtimes. Assist residents with plate and utensil orientation. Clean up, load, and empty dishwasher, clean and disinfect tables and counters. Launder napkins and dish towels.
• Provide one-on-one support when needed to engage residents in activities or provide a quiet space to calm residents when required. Facilitates and assists with activity programming.
• Applies an excellent customer service approach in all aspects of the job.
• Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Certification as a CNA or Home Health Aide in the state of work.
• One year's experience in an elder care setting preferred.
