Job summary

The Salvation Army in Pocatello, ID is seeking a Temporary/ Seasonal Full-time courcheur to support kettle activities during the Christmas season. The role involves driving a cargo van, coordinating volunteers, and setting up kettles across locations. 40 hours per week, days with some evenings and weekends.

Travel is required as needed and the position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a charitable environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive a full-size cargo van and pick-up donated food items from stores and individuals during the Christmas Season and other times as needed
• Must be trustworthy.
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Must possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must have a pleasant disposition
• Must be in good mental and physical health – possessing the ability to lift 70 pounds or more.
• Maintain and manage a safe working environment.
• Must be able to work well with others
• Incredibly strong organizational skills
• Good public speaking and writing skills
• Able to pass the driving test administered by The Salvation Army and provide required documents
• Coordinate all volunteers ringing bells
• Assemble all kettle stands
• Organize kettle supplies, Bells, Aprons, Supply bags, etc.
• Schedule Kettle Workers
• Deliver and set up kettles for workers
• Pick up kettles as needed at end of day
• Pick up the deposit slips daily
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteers for ringing bells.
• Deliver and set up kettles for workers and ensure safe operation.
• Travel as needed to pickup donations and kettle locations.
• Assist in organizing kettle supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Hours: 40hrs/week:

• Mainly days, some evenings and weekends required.
• Hours may vary and overtime may be required.
• Temporary employment for Christmas season
