Job summary

SPI in Decatur, GA is hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse to deliver and unload finished products and materials to customer locations. You will also assist in receiving, storing and distributing inventory within the warehouse and operate a local commercial vehicle with safety in mind.

This role requires 18+ years of age, a valid CDL for company use, an acceptable DMV record, and flexibility to perform warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001-26,000 lbs vehicle).
• Acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Record.
• Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as signed.
• THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.

Job Description

• Currently hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse to deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to our customer locations.
• Assist in the Warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.
• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs. during physical loading/unloading of trucks.
• Excellent customer service skills- our drivers are the most important ambassadors of our company and build relationships with our customers.
• Able to read, write and understand English Language, as well as use navigation software.
• Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.
• Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Travel Requirements

Eighty (80%) percent of all work activities are performed inside the cab of the commercial vehicle. The remainder of work activities are performed outdoors.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.

Compensation Range $13.00 - $30.00
