Job summary

ECS Group is seeking a Field Services Team Leader to join our Greensboro team. You will lead a group of field technicians performing construction materials testing, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely delivery of services.

You will coordinate scheduling, staffing, training, and quality control while supporting project delivery and financial performance. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and field testing proficiency to uphold ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience or more.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain basic certifications and any advanced certifications as per policy.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented.
• Strong understanding of construction materials testing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of construction materials testing technicians.
• Manage day-to-day field operations including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure projects are staffed with trained and qualified technicians.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and proper PPE usage.
• Manage field equipment calibration, maintenance, and inventory.
• Communicate daily with technicians, project managers, and contractors.
• Support recruiting and staffing to maintain team levels.
• Review field reports for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection as needed.
• Support project managers and leadership with project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and client interactions.
• Support business development and client relationships.

Responsibilities

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Field Services Team Leader to join our Greensboroteam. The Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing a team of field technicians to ensure the successful execution of construction materials testing services. This role oversees daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, training, and quality control, while supporting project delivery and financial performance. The Team Leader serves as the primary leader for field staff, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

• Leads and supervises a team of construction materials testing technicians
• Manages day-to-day field operations, including scheduling and resource allocation
• Ensures projects are staffed with properly trained and qualified technicians
• Promotes and enforces safety policies and the proper use of PPE

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Maintain basic certifications and any advanced certifications necessary for the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
• Strong professional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Strong understanding of construction materials testing principles and standards
• Ability to evaluate test results for specification complianceStrong organizational and operational management skills
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with electronic devices and MS Office
• Knowledge of company systems, procedures, and workflows
• Ability to coordinate field activities and staffing effectively
• Must be able to occasionally lift a minimum of 85 pounds
• Knowledge of ECS systems and procedures is a plus
