Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a CMT Project Manager to join our Wilmington field services team. You will manage a variety of construction materials testing projects and collaborate with project teams from senior engineers to field staff to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include budgeting, proposals, client meetings, and mentoring staff. The role requires a BS in a relevant field, 2+ years of experience, and a valid license; PE/PG preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in CMT/field service.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
• PE or PG license in the state of work required.
• Strong client relationship skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and issue resolution.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay apps, and assist with collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; attend client meetings and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
