Job summary

UES, Inc. seeks an Experienced CMT Field Technician to support engineering, materials testing, and inspections. This role requires on-site fieldwork, data collection, and on-site mentoring of junior staff, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field experience, ACI certification preferred, and the ability to work independently in dynamic outdoor environments. Travel up to 70% of the time is expected to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework preferred.
• 3+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or related.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or obtainable within specified timeframe.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA compliance; strong documentation and data collection skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and field data collection software; ability to read blueprints and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials per project specs.
• Ensure testing requirements align with project specifications and company procedures.
• Label, collect, and transport samples to laboratories maintaining integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration; document results meticulously.
• Produce detailed test reports and communicate updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior field technicians and uphold safety protocols on site.
• Travel as needed within region; support early mornings, weekends, or overnight work.
