Job summary

Summit Design and Engineering Services, Inc. seeks Field Technicians to perform construction materials testing, calibrate equipment, and compile detailed lab reports for clients.

The role requires independent work, strong written/verbal communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and are prepared to pursue ACI, ICC, and NCDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 0–2 years (Field Tech I) or 2–5 years (Field Tech II) of lab testing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox and/or OneDrive.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to obtain ACI, ICC and NCDOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performing construction materials tests in accordance with standards.
• Perform equipment calibrations.
• Compile lab results and complete lab reports for clients.
• Maintain detailed testing reports and records.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and heights with proper safety precautions.
