M+C Saatchi World Services seeks a CMS Manager to oversee administration, governance, and optimization of content management platforms supporting federal programs. You will work with communications, UX, analytics, and technical teams to ensure content remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with objectives.
The role is hybrid; ideal candidates live in the DMV region and can manage complex publishing environments while delivering strong user experiences across platforms.

M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient CMS Manager to oversee the administration, governance, and optimization of content management platforms that support communications, outreach, stakeholder engagement, and digital service delivery across a diverse portfolio of federal programs.
Working closely with communications, content, UX, stakeholder engagement, analytics, and technical teams, you will help ensure digital content remains accurate, accessible, discoverable, and aligned with organizational objectives. You will serve as a key liaison between content creators, business stakeholders, and technical teams, supporting content publishing workflows, platform governance, information architecture, and ongoing platform improvements.
The ideal candidate combines strong content operations expertise with an understanding of digital platforms, user experience, and content governance. They are comfortable managing complex publishing environments, supporting multiple stakeholder groups, and ensuring content management systems operate efficiently while delivering exceptional user experiences.
This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
Administer and manage content management systems that support websites, digital platforms, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and communications programs.
Oversee content publishing workflows, approval processes, governance standards, and quality assurance procedures.
Support content authors, editors, and stakeholders by providing guidance on platform usage, publishing standards, and content best practices.
Manage content inventories, taxonomies, metadata structures, tagging frameworks, and information architecture to improve discoverability and user experience.
Coordinate content updates, platform enhancements, migrations, and publishing schedules across multiple programs and stakeholders.
Monitor content quality, accessibility compliance, governance adherence, and platform performance to ensure content remains accurate and effective.
Collaborate with communications, UX, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and technical teams to align content operations with organizational objectives.
Support implementation and maintenance of content governance frameworks, editorial standards, workflows, and documentation.
Develop reports, dashboards, and performance summaries that provide visibility into content operations, publishing activities, and platform health.
Identify opportunities to improve content workflows, platform efficiency, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
Support user acceptance testing, platform enhancements, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Maintain platform documentation, standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials.
Provide training and ongoing support to content contributors and stakeholders across the organization.
Stay current on CMS technologies, digital publishing trends, accessibility requirements, content operations best practices, and emerging platform capabilities.
Experience managing content management systems, digital publishing platforms, intranets, websites, or enterprise content environments.
Strong understanding of content governance, publishing workflows, editorial operations, metadata management, and information architecture principles.
Experience supporting communications, digital engagement, stakeholder engagement, or content operations initiatives.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled media planning, audience targeting, campaign optimization, and performance measurement technologies.
Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
Knowledge of CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, Contentful, Sanity, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar enterprise content systems.
Strong understanding of accessibility requirements, content standards, digital publishing practices, and user experience principles.
Experience coordinating across communications, content, UX, analytics, technical, and stakeholder-facing teams.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Experience developing documentation, governance frameworks, workflow processes, training materials, and operational procedures.
Ability to analyze content performance, identify optimization opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, digital communications, or mission-driven programs is preferred.
Familiarity with analytics platforms, SEO best practices, content performance measurement, and digital experience optimization is preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, as required by the position.
Degree or relevant experience in Communications, Information Systems, Digital Media, Content Strategy, Marketing, User Experience, Library Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
The salary range provided reflects the anticipated compensation for this role across our Washington, DC and New York locations. Actual starting salary will be determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
