Job summary

Venice Family Clinic seeks a Chief Medical Officer to drive the clinical vision and supervise key medical leadership roles across the organization. You will influence clinical programs, risk management, and quality of care for diverse patient populations in the Westside of Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinical staff, residents, and volunteers to enhance patient safety and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics, required.
• MD or DO degree, required.
• An active, CA license & DEA license, required.
• At least 7 years of experience as a primary care physician, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical vision and oversight of all clinical programs.
• Supervise Associate Medical Directors, Director, Managed Care & Care Coordination and Director of Behavioral Health.
• Participate in clinical risk management, compliance, and patient safety.
• Oversee peer review, credentialing and privileging activities.
• Balance clinical care (approx. 35%) with administrative and supervisory duties (approx. 65%).
