CMMC Advisory Consultant – Contract – Remote – 3-6 Months

Are you a CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) who has helped organizations achieve CMMC readiness and pass a Level 2 assessment? My client is a specialist RPO serving the DIB and seeks a proven CMMC Consultant to conduct gap assessments, develop and refine security policies, procedures, and SSPs, and guide customers through remediation and L2 CMMC assessments.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct CMMC gap assessments against NIST SP 800-171 controls
• Develop and refine security policies, procedures, and SSPs
• Identify and remediate compliance gaps across customer environments
• Prepare organizations for and support them through Level 2 CMMC assessments
• Engage directly with CISOs, compliance leads, and executive stakeholders

What You'll Need:

• CMMC Certified Professional (CCP)
• Prior experience helping companies through CMMC readiness and assessment preparation
• Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, and ideally broader frameworks (NIST CSF, 800-53, ISO 27001, DFARS)
• Ability to develop high-quality documentation, including SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• 3‑6 month contract

• Rate commensurate with experience
