Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. is seeking an experienced metrology technician to join the Metrology team and measure precision optics and optical assemblies using coordinate measuring machines, laser trackers, and portable arms. You will gain hands-on experience with spatial metrology tools and collaborate with world-class technicians and engineers.

Relocation benefits are available. The role requires U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility with minimal travel in a secure environment.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including working knowledge of blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • CMM Operating Experience, preferably on a Zeiss using Calypso.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing instructions in the production of optics and optical assemblies.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal.

Position Overview:

In this role you will be part of the Metrology team which is responsible for measuring precision optics and optical assemblies. This position will expose the candidate to various spatial metrology tools, such as large and medium sized bridge type Coordinate Measuring Machines, Laser Trackers, Portable Arms, and other emerging technologies. This position affords the candidate with great hands-on experience working on unique and challenging optical systems while learning and teaming up with world-class technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Educational Requirements
    • HS Diploma
  • Experience Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Spatial Analyzer is a plus
  • Familiarity or expertise with machinery and optical manufacturing equipment
  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions, occasionally operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. ITC & Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires U.S. citizenship in support of contract requirements. This position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
