You will oversee inspection data accuracy and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to drive process improvements and keep CMM operations running efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands-on CMM inspection and programming experience with PC-DMIS and CATIA V5, and a strong focus on dimensional accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership experience; CMM leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of stationary CMM equipment and related software.
  • Experience with PC-DMIS or comparable CMM programming software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mathematical and dimensional measurement skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support CMM operators and CMM programmers in daily inspection and programming activities.
  • Operate stationary CMM equipment and support production with accurate dimensional inspection.
  • Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS and in the CATIA V5 working environment.
  • Inspect 4- and 5-axis machined components to customer and engineering specifications.
  • Review engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and digital models to determine proper dimensions and tolerances.
  • Interpret and summarize dimensional inspection data and communicate results to manufacturing and engineering.
  • Complete and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
  • Support in-process inspection and mechanical inspection using precision tools.

CMM Supervisor – Precision Manufacturing


Location: Park City, KS - Relocation assistance available


Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday–Friday

We are seeking an experienced CMM Supervisor to lead a skilled CMM team in a precision manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who understands CMM inspection and programming, takes pride in dimensional accuracy, and enjoys mentoring and developing others.


In this role, you will oversee the quality, accuracy, and integrity of CMM inspection data used to verify manufactured products meet customer requirements. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and production teams to identify issues, improve processes, and keep CMM operations running efficiently.


What You'll Do


  • Lead and support CMM operators and CMM programmers in daily inspection and programming activities.

  • Operate stationary CMM equipment and support production with accurate dimensional inspection.

  • Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS and in the CATIA V5 working environment.

  • Inspect 4- and 5-axis machined components to customer and engineering specifications.

  • Review engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and digital models to determine proper dimensions and tolerances.

  • Interpret and summarize dimensional inspection data and communicate results to manufacturing and engineering.

  • Complete and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.

  • Support in-process inspection and mechanical inspection using micrometers, bore gages, height gages, and other precision equipment.

  • Participate in RCCA, continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives, audits, and cross-training.

  • Lead daily GEMBA reporting and communicate CMM production and programming priorities.

  • Troubleshoot CMM equipment and software issues and coordinate with vendors when necessary.

  • Maintain detailed CMM programs, inspection records, and required quality documentation.

  • Assist product and manufacturing engineers with dimensional data analysis.

  • Support internal, customer, ISO, and other quality audits.

  • Step in as a Level II QA Inspector when required.


What We're Looking For

Required:



  • 3+ years of leadership experience; CMM leadership experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of stationary CMM equipment and related software.

  • Experience with PC-DMIS or comparable CMM programming software.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, and technical documentation.

  • Strong mathematical and dimensional measurement skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Preferred:



  • 5+ years of CMM or portable CMM operating experience.

  • 3+ years of CMM leadership experience.

  • Experience with PC-DMIS and CATIA V5 CMM programming environments.

  • 2-year technical degree or recognized trade/apprenticeship experience.

  • Experience with aerospace or other highly regulated precision manufacturing environments.

Physical & Work Environment

This position requires regular standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, and stretching. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier items with assistance. The role involves regular exposure to manufacturing environments, including machine noise and metal dust, as well as repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms.
