Job summary

Schunk Carbon Technology is seeking a CMM Quality Technician in Menomonee Falls, WI. This role focuses on operating and programming Zeiss CMMs to verify part dimensions against engineering specs under the Quality Manager's supervision.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or 3+ years of relevant experience, plus knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QT9 QMS software. Strong GD&T and math skills are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school, or 3+ years of equivalent work experience and/or training.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 knowledge with internal audits; QT9 QMS experience preferred.
• GD&T reading and interpretation of drawings, specifications, and tolerancing.
• Strong math concepts: probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word) and QMS software.

Responsibilities

• Dimensional Inspection using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and Zeiss CMM programs.
• Log and track corrective actions, non-conformances, and calibration events in QT9 QMS.
• Maintain basic calibration knowledge and select appropriate M&TE tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints with understanding of critical characteristics.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming materials and initiate resolutions.
• Apply CAPA and auditing practices including root cause analysis and FMEA.
