A dedicated recruiting agency is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a family-owned machining services company in Vernon, CT. Candidates should have at least 3 years of CMM programming experience and strong attention to detail. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience using PCDMIS or CAMEO software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support all outgoing Quality Inspection requirements.
  • Collect data from the checking fixture according to the control plan.
  • Identify potential causes for process variation.
  • Develop CMM programs for completed assemblies and components.
  • Inspection of close tolerance parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Inspection of close tolerance parts using CMM programs and precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Develop programs from blueprints, CAD models and operation sheets.
  • Ability to work with operators, engineering and varying shop schedules.
  • Support 1st piece Quality (buy-off) Inspection of all in-process components and sub-assemblies.
  • Responsible for all incoming Supplier Documentation (review and storage).
  • Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Rockville Technology MRP system.
  • Generates non-conforming material reports and communicates them effectively.

The Position:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, in this role youwill be responsible for:

About You:

  • Working knowledge of MicrosoftOutlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials inMicrosoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in ateam environment as well as independently;
  • Demonstrates strong timemanagement skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multipleprojects;
  • Ability to use technologyeffectively and efficiently to manage workload;
