Job summary

Ultraform Industries is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Operator to join our Quality team. This role requires strong PC-DMIS proficiency, mastery of GD&T, and a track record of flawless PPAP submissions with diligent gage calibration management.

You will perform layouts, document results for PPAPs, support engineering with metrology, run capability and R&R studies, interpret drawings, and ensure timely data analysis and audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• CMM Programmer with 3–5 years in manufacturing environments.
• Experience using PC DMIS software.
• Metrology experience in a production setting.
• Strong GD&T and Quality Systems knowledge.
• Surface plate layouts knowledge.
• Proficient with Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs layouts and documents results for PPAP submissions.
• Performs layouts for production processes and analyzes data for quality.
• Conducts capability and R&R studies.
• Layouts inspection gauges/fixtures and manages calibrations.
• Supports engineering by measuring tooling and assisting with reverse engineering.
• Interprets drawings and discusses feasibility with management/engineering.
• Reviews print feasibilities for dimensioning and GD&T.
• Prepares graphs or inputs data for analysis in software.
• Assists with audits, first pieces, receiving, training as needed.
• Completes hourly SPC measurements on production parts.

Ultraform Industries is expanding our Quality team! We are officially on the hunt for a CMM Programmer/Operator with 3-5 years of automotive manufacturing experience.

If you are highly proficient in PC-DMIS, master of GD&T, and have a track record of flawless PPAP submissions and gage calibration management, we have a desk (and a CMM machine) with your name on it!

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs layouts and documents results for PPAP submissions
• Performs layouts for production process and compiles/evaluates gathered data to determine/maintain quality and reliability of products
• Performs capability studies and R & R studies.
• Layout inspection gages/fixtures, as needed.Ensure all calibrations are completed on or before their due dates. Minor gage repairs.
• Support engineering by measuring tooling / some reverse engineering required.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas and confers with management or engineering within limits of equipment capability
• Reviews all print feasibilities for dimensioning and GD&T
• Prepares graphs or charts of data, or enters data into computer for analysis
• Helps with Audits, first pieces, receiving, training, etc. as needed
• Completes hourly SPC measurements on production parts as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• CMM Programmer Experience 3-5 years
• Experience with PC DMIS software
• Experience within a manufacturing environment providing metrology solutions
• Strong GD&T and Quality Systems knowledge
• Knowledgeable in surface plate layouts
• Proficient with Windows OS
