Job summary

Ultraform Industries is expanding our Quality team and seeks a CMM Programmer/Operator with 3–5 years of automotive manufacturing experience to join on-site.

Proficiency in PC-DMIS, GD&T, and gage calibration management is required; a desk and a CMM machine await the right candidate.

You will perform PPAP layouts, capability and R&R studies, and support engineering with metrology tasks while ensuring calibration due dates and precise data.

Qualifications

• CMM programming experience in automotive manufacturing.
• PC-DMIS software proficiency.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and quality systems.
• Surface plate layouts knowledge.
• Windows OS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs layouts and documents results for PPAP submissions
• Performs layouts for production process and compiles/evaluates gathered data to determine/maintain quality and reliability of products
• Performs capability studies and R & R studies.
• Layout inspection gages/fixtures, as needed. Ensure all calibrations are completed on or before their due dates. Minor gage repairs.
• Support engineering by measuring tooling / some reverse engineering required.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas and confers with management or engineering within limits of equipment capability
• Reviews all print feasibilities for dimensioning and GD&T
• Prepares graphs or charts of data, or enters data into computer for analysis
• Helps with Audits, first pieces, receiving, training, etc. as needed
• Completes hourly SPC measurements on production parts as required.

If you are highly proficient in PC-DMIS, master of GD&T, and have a track record of flawless PPAP submissions and gage calibration management, we have a desk (and a CMM machine) with your name on it!

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

CMM Programmer Experience 3-5 years

Experience with PC DMIS software

Experience within a manufacturing environment providing metrology solutions

Strong GD&T and Quality Systems knowledge

Knowledgeable in surface plate layouts

Proficient with Windows OS
