CMM Programmers/Operators are highly skilled employees responsible for operating and programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other measurement equipment in an automotive manufacturing plant. They analyze specifications, set up gauges or fixtures according to released part GD&T, create and execute measurement programs to validate part quality, and provide detailed reports of measurement results. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and the ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, sketches, and similar documents are essential. The role may require performing incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
