Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense, a premier provider for space and defense components, is seeking a CMM Programmer in Manchester, CT. The role focuses on programming, proving out, and supporting CMM inspections of critical aerospace components.

You'll use MCOSMOS as primary, with Calypso/Modus desirable, collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing, and ensure timely inspection data and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on CMM programming in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with MCOSMOS required; Calypso or Modus desirable.
• Ability to operate manual inspection tools and document results.

Responsibilities

• Generate and prove out CMM programs for Mitutoyo, Zeiss, and Metris CMMs.
• Set up and prove out programs using fixtures and instructions.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to ensure compliance.
• Review CMM results, identify nonconformances, and escalate as needed.
• Maintain CMM programs and documentation; support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve processes.
• Train inspection personnel on CMM operations as needed.
• Perform validation and calibration checks to ensure accuracy.
