Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Mississippi is seeking an experienced inspector to develop CMM programs and perform various inspections. Candidates must have 5 years of aerospace inspection experience and proficiency in Calypso software. This role requires a strong ability to use measurement tools and read blueprints. Responsibilities
  • Develop new CMM Programs in Zeiss Calypso software.
  • Primary support for first piece inspection.
  • Inspects product from raw material to final machined part and/or assembly.
  • Able to set up and use precision measuring equipment as needed, such as surface plate, sine plate, calipers, optical comparator, indicators, thread gages, dial bore gages, Muller gages, bridge gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Generates inspection reports as needed
  • Enters data in Nonconforming material in Database
  • Generates appropriate documentation and certifications as required by customers
  • Trains and instructs other employees as necessary
  • May perform other duties as requested
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T is required.
  • Ability to read blue prints and specifications on a daily basis
  • Be able to give accurate information on hardware inspected
  • Capable of maintaining the flow of product for production in a timely manner
  • Must be able to pass a near vision and color eye exam.
Education and Experience
  • Must be fully competent in Calypso CMM Software.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating Zeiss CMM’s.
  • Minimum five years of aerospace inspection experience performing Receiving Inspection, First Article Inspection I.A.W. AS9102, and Final Inspection.
  • Previous experience with Net-Inspect a plus
