Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Toledo, Ohio. This role measures automotive parts and fixtures using CMM equipment, ensuring conformance to GD&T and blueprints.

You will develop and debug programs with Polyworks and PC-DMIS, perform test runs, and support ongoing process improvements in a clean, safe environment. A technical school diploma is preferred; two years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and determines dimensions and tolerance specs per GD&T.
• Understands and uses measurement tools and equipment.
• Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts against specifications.
• Develops and implements CMM programs using Polyworks and/or PC-DMIS.
• Performs test runs to ensure parts meet specifications and makes adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications.
• Compares recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notifies specified persons of discrepancies.
• Perform in-depth part layout using CMM/ Laser Scanner and bench layout.
• Develop and implement computer programs using Polyworks, and or PC DMIS software.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Leadership to meet business objectives.
• Stop production if unsafe parts, actions or poor-quality conditions exist.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

JOB SUMMARY

Operates Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure dimensions of automotive parts, inspection fixtures and machine jigs by performing the following duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent though graduation from a technical school is preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years progressive experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings / GD&T, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand-held measuring tools
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
