Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in Lafayette, IN seeks a CMM Programmer to develop and optimize coordinate measuring machine programs, ensuring product quality and dimensional accuracy. This role collaborates with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support inspection activities and improve measurement processes.

The ideal candidate has experience with PC-DMIS, Polyworks, or Hexagon software, strong GD&T knowledge, and a background in precision machining environments.

Qualifications

• Background in programming, manufacturing technology, engineering, quality, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and the ability to learn and develop inspection routines.
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Familiarity with precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

This role collaborates with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to support inspection activities, improve measurement processes, and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections and analyze measurement data to verify product compliance.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality concerns.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.

• Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision machining environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.

Job Compensation

$30.00-40.00

Monday through Friday 630AM to 300PM
