Job description

Create, maintain, and run detailed CMM programs for in‑house production parts, purchased components, and sub‑contract machined parts. Prepare detailed inspection reports; provide input and direction to other inspectors, machine operators, engineering and purchasing personnel, and outside suppliers based on inspection results.

  • Determine program requirements based on design and engineering part‑specific requirements.
  • Maintain the CMM equipment to ensure it is functioning properly, the calibration schedule is adhered to, and the software is up to date.
  • Provide support to the Inspection Department by inspecting components, calibrating gauges, and performing other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree or some technical training preferred, plus a minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of GD&T, CMM programming, and tool/equipment selection to ensure inspection accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso software preferred but not required.
  • Familiar with the requirements of ISO9001:2015.
  • Knowledge of gauge calibration.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient math and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate inspection results.
