Acuren is seeking a full-time CMM Programmer to support Lab operations in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires applying calibration standards, interpreting manuals, and ensuring instrument accuracy across electrical, mechanical, and process systems.

The position involves field work, travel as needed, and collaboration with a team to maintain calibration records and assist in training junior technicians. Strong GD&T, communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS with/without CAD models.
• Familiarity with MCOSMOS and PolyWorks is a plus.
• Experience with FARO arms and hand tools is beneficial.
• Strong Excel skills and good blueprint/GD&T interpretation.
• Responsive to field work and travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform calibration and verification tasks on electrical, mechanical, and process instrumentation.
• Interpret manuals, apply standards, analyze results to ensure accuracy.
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform adjustments or repairs as needed.

Position Summary

Acuren is seeking a full-time CMM Programmer to support Lab operations in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• The Calibration Technician II independently performs a wide range of calibration and verification tasks on electrical, mechanical, and process instrumentation.
• This role interprets technical manuals, applies calibration standards, and analyzes test results to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• The Calibration Technician II identifies out-of-tolerance conditions, troubleshoots issues, and performs adjustments or minor repairs as required.
• Additional responsibilities include maintaining calibration records, supporting audit readiness, and assisting in the training of junior technicians.
• This position requires a solid understanding of metrology principles and the ability to perform complex calibrations with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Able to program in PC-DMIS Software with or without a CAD model (2015.1, 2019 R1, 2020 R1, 2020 R2)
• Excellent Blueprint Reading Skills / GD&T Interpretation
• Strong Communication Skills
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Attention to Detail is a must
• Strong Computer and Excel Skills
• Willing to be flexible to work in the lab as well as in the field
• Short term travel and / or overnight, out of town stays may be necessary during field work
• Willing to work overtime and /or weekends as needed
• Must be able to work independently as well as on group / team projects
• Must be a self-starter with great time management skills
• Must be able to sit and / or stand for long hours depending on current projects
• Willingness to learn new skills, including new software’s and hardware’s
• Must be a team player

Additional
