Job summary

Trescal, a premier calibration and asset services provider, seeks an experienced CMM Operator & Calibration Technician to join our Milwaukee, WI team. You will operate and set up CMMs, inspect precision-machined parts, interpret GD&T drawings, and create inspection programs to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities include documenting results, identifying nonconforming parts, maintaining calibration of inspection tools, and adhering to quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating a CMM in manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to document inspection results.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple teams and levels of management.

  • Operate and perform routine setup of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Inspect precision-machined and manufactured components for dimensional accuracy.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
  • Create, modify, and run CMM inspection programs as required.
  • Use inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and other precision measuring or inspection tools.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and PPAP inspections.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify nonconforming parts and communicate findings.
  • Maintain CMM equipment and ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated.
  • Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced CMM Operator & Calibration Technician to join our team in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Requirements
Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a CMM in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple teams and levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Camio CMM software.
  • Experience with LK Metrology CMM.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality-management systems.
  • Experience in CNC machining, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing.
  • Formal training or certification in GD&T or dimensional inspection.
