Job summary

iMPact Business Group is seeking a hands-on Quality and CMM Manager in Norton Shores, MI to own day-to-day quality activities on the shop floor and support growth. The role requires strong CMM programming and experience inspecting diverse machined parts.

You will program, modify, and operate CMM equipment, use optical comparators and gauges, manage calibration, maintain inspection records, and guide junior quality staff while partnering with production leadership to resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience in a machining environment.
• CMM programming experience required (not just operation).
• Experience inspecting a variety of machined parts and operations.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement tools, including hand gauges and optical comparators.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
• Self-sufficient, technically driven, and comfortable working independently.

• Lead day-to-day quality and inspection activities within a machining environment.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections across multiple part types and operations.
• Program, modify, and operate CMM equipment for a variety of parts.

This role requires someone who can take ownership of day-to-day quality activities while working directly on the shop floor and supporting the continued growth of the operation.
